SKY PARK by Zaha Hadid

In the SKY PARK by Zaha Hadid project in Bratislava, we removed tens of thousands of tons of contaminated soil that was polluted as a result of the World War Two-era Apollo refinery bombing, and had not been removed in the meantime. Given the depth of the excavations, this was an extremely costly operation, the expenditure of which amounted to several million euros.

As part of the SKY PARK by Zaha Hadid project, we also built a new city park with an area of more than 30,000 m2. The park includes a running track, various sports fields, playgrounds, a dog park and water areas, and a number of chill-out zones. We collaborated on the park design with world-renowned landscape architects from the London studio Townshend and with the well-known Slovak urban planner Igor Mark. In total, we invested more than €11 million in the construction of the park
