Rosum office project located on the corner of Bratislava’s Ružinovská and Bajkalská streets has had a new owner since last week. Penta Real Estate, the project developer, sold it for € 60 million to Austrian company European City Estates.

Rosum has more than 22,000 m2 of rentable office space in high quality and environmental standards and also includes a retail section for stores and services. Its largest tenants include News and Media Holding, Covestro, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Nestle.

“I consider the sale of Rosum to be proof that even in the Bratislava market, you can do projects that are of interest to international investors due to their technical quality and commercial setting. Rosum is one of our most successful projects and a great recommendation for Penta Real Estate’s future work, as well,” says Juraj Nevolník, Managing Director at Penta Real Estate Slovakia.

“Since Rosum office project is one of the best projects in the Bratislava market with regard to quality, it is a great investment in the long run. After the purchase of BCT2 offices in Kosice, this is our second acquisition of a project from  Penta Real Estate portfolio,” says Dejan Mansfeld-Rupnik, Member of the Board of Directors in the ECE European City Estates Group.

„The sale of Rosum to ECE on behalf of Penta is proof that the Slovak market continues to attract new international capital. The quality of Penta’s developments has contributed to this being the first time an international core investor buys an office building outside the traditional Bratislava CBD, setting a new benchmark for the market,“ says Anthony Selman, Head of CEE Invesment in CBRE.
