Penta acquired ADAST in 2003 when it filled for bankruptcy. The company had been poorly run and unable to compete on the international market for printing machines.
During Penta's ownership heavy investments were made into production efficiency and innovation. After the restructuring process, Penta sold 100% of ADAST to J 23 a.s.
