The private equity group Penta in cooperation with the agency Trend Promotion and the media partner weekly TREND, organizes a special workshop "Private Equity Through Results". The workshop will be held in the congress hall of Radisson SAS Carlton Hotel in Bratislava on 27 November 2006 and is intended both for expert public and journalists.
Investments in companies in order to stabilize and sell them (private equity) have been present in Slovak economy for over ten years. Despite of a broad array of already effectuated successful projects, this type of undertaking still evokes a whole series of questions and is accompanied with distrust or prejudices. Penta realizes the absence of a wider public and professional discussion on private equity, therefore its ambition is to become an initiator of an exchange of knowledge, experience, and opinions.
Private Equity Through Results is the second event held by Penta this year and its objective is to bring an interesting sight on:
- effect of private equity on macroeconomics,
- examples of successful projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Zentiva, NAY Elektrodom, Severomoravské vodárne a kanalizácie),
- as well as theoretical and practical education on private equity.
Contributions will be presented by representatives of private equity companies and renowned consultancy and advisory companies.
Penta intends to be a regular initiator and organizer of similar events with an intention to gradually direct them to a wider expert community in the Central Europe.
