David Vaněk, currently General Manager of Fortuna Entertainment Group CZ (FEG CZ) and the member of the FEG group executive team, will take on the role of interim CEO of FEG as of 1.3.2022. He will replace Per Widerstrom who is leaving the Group at the end of February. Over the seven years, the FEG business has grown more than five times in size and the Group has become a leading licensed omni-channel betting and gaming operator in CEE region.
„I would like to thank Per for his great contribution and hard work. FEG is one of the biggest platforms in Penta´s portfolio. FEG has been a success story growing and developing a local business to regional scale and is now an internationally recognized brand. As shareholders, we are strongly determined to support the further growth of the Group“, Iain Child, the Managing Partner of Penta Investments said.
“Seven years is indeed a long time and there are so many people I would like to thank for having been with me and FEG during this journey, be it our customers, business partners or other stakeholders. In particular, I would like to thank all the fantastic employees who have made FEG to the great company it is today as well as to thank Penta Investments for their great support and collaboration. Leaving FEG at this time feels right, in particular knowing that the company is well poised for further growth as well as being in very good hands with David Vaněk and the rest of the Group Executive team“, said Per Widerstrom.
“I am proud to have been given the opportunity to lead FEG into the next phase of its development. I am truly excited about the tremendous potential that the company has and I am looking forward to leveraging the group’s extensive know-how to deliver a market-leading value proposition to all our customers.”, David Vaněk said.
